What is individual therapy?
Individual therapy is focused attention on you and your needs. You bring your difficulties, perspective, strengths and challenges into the room, and then you and your therapist can work together to determine how to best help you on your healing journey.
Who can benefit from individual therapy?
Individual therapy can be used with adults, teenagers and children. Based on age and needs, our therapists adapt their approach to provide the best possible care. For little ones, play therapy is often utilized, and support is given to parents.
Teenagers have their own unique set of strengths and needs. With individual therapy, they can have a place to address difficulties and find healing.
What types of therapy do we use?
We use evidenced based treatment models to help our clients. EMDR, DBT, TF-CBT, Mindfulness, IFS and play therapy are some of the methods that may be used. Taking a collaborative approach with our clients is very important to us. You are the expert on you, and we take that seriously!
